TEXTS

INTRODUCTION

Writing forms a structural part of the practice. Text appears here as lyrics, signal studies, installation notes and performative scores developed alongside sound works and spatial projects.

Rather than forming a literary archive, these materials function as a research field where language interacts with sound, signal behaviour and spatial systems.

Some texts originate inside recordings connected to the Catwalk Talk cycle, where language operates as a rhythmic and vocal layer within the sound structure.

Others emerge through processual studies investigating signal behaviour, damping, latency and material resistance.

Selected works are presented below as examples of this research field.

SELECTED TEXT FRAGMENTS

Broken Interface — Processual Cycle

The cycle records the collision between emission and material resistance. Here, the flower functions as an acoustic model acting as a mechanical filter, absorber, and regulator.

SAKURA / MUSIC BOX — signal study

one two
one two three
petals fall before the beat
hit the gears ground to scrap

whistle cuts against the current
kick drum enters too early
snare fell off axis

PEONY / DUMPING FACTOR — signal study

osmosis begins without edges
enters the mass slowly layer by layer
pulp inside
no echo

softness takes the pressure
at the third millimetre
it loses contour

DAHLIA / DEAD RANGE — signal study

You fear it more than it fears you

...In the coils of dahlia
tight and damp
a music box is dying

It is rosin grinding in the gears…

LYRICS

Lyrics form another layer structural layer of the practice.

These texts are written for sound structures, performance tracks and spatial audio environments.

Several of them appear within the Catwalk Talk cycle, where language operates together with rhythm, signal and movement.

Confetti hits
Like falling lies
She walks on bones
In silky disguise

Carbon holds
Edges learn
Form remembers
What eyes forget

Stories worn in
Same step, new name
Use turns into weight
Weight learns how to last

…The city key is made of gum
A stare too long too trained too numb
A glitch smile traded hand to hand
Affection priced by trend and brand

Additional lyrics and songs texts are available in the Genius archive, where the works are documented and credited
